Each season The Drama Club has tried to raise the bar in encouraging young people to explore their hidden talents and even sometimes discover something new and exciting about themselves.

This year we are going to shake things up a little bit. Every year we have the few students that want to go to the next level. They want to explore their acting talents and the theatre beyond that of their peers.

We are pleased to announce the creation of “The Drama Club Experiment.” This new program idea comes from the past several seasons of watching the talent, passion and interest of its participants. Not every child is built, reacts or learns at the same pace and they all certainly have different interests. This is where the “experiment” comes into play.

Over the course of several months, students will be invited to participate in a series of acting exercises, theatre games, creative workshops and scene studies. Through these activities, it is the goal of “The Drama Club Experiment” to find the theatre that interests them the most and then have them perform their findings in a showcase at the end of the series’ session.

This is for any young person that is looking for a challenge. It offers a way to go further and expect more of themselves and their talents. In some cases, we will leave the easier theatrical exercises behind and look towards more advanced practices.

We hope you will join us in this experiment and expand your mind towards theatre and the fine arts in general.
