We start our evening of theatre with three, short plays on building better character through responsibility and respect. These three shorts present common day occurrences in three very creative ways. Then be prepared to hold the person closest and be chilled to the bone with our scary tale. A unique and creative approach to the “Sounds of Halloween.”

This wonderful play by Sandra Fenichel Asher chronicles and celebrates the life of Sojourner Truth. By combining spirituals and folk songs of the time with Truth’s own words, this play paints an accurate and moving portrait of this remarkable woman. This play has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Alliance for Theatre and Education.

What if things changed on the way to “happily ever after?” As the Three Little Pigs wondered what life would be like if the wolf were not always at their door, the Billy Goats Gruff can’t face another trip-trap over the troll’s bridge, and Papa Bear has had enough of the meddlesome little girl Goldilocks! The three trios join forces to rewrite their stories, ridding themselves of their respective villains by exchanging them. In the process, you the audience just might be inspired to conquer your fears by taking control of your own lives.
